Material donation

Material Donations - General

What Material Donations Are Helpful?
Any items that can be used for musical activities (training, rehearsals, therapy, performances) are suitable. Whether new or used, and whether from a music industry company/retailer, an organization (association, orchestra, band), or a private individual, we will ensure they are (re)used.

How do we proceed?
Material donations are consolidated by smile for music. This means that after confirming usability and receiving the donation from the donor, we conduct a quality check of the material donation, forward the
material donation to the selected recipient, or store it temporarily (for use in response to later requests). We also ensure that the desired privacy of both donors and recipients is respected and protected at all times. Naming or public attribution will only occur in accordance with the individual wishes of the parties involved.

Musicians, Private Individuals, Organizations (Bands, Orchestras):
Instruments or equipment that you no longer use can be given a new purpose as a material donation.
Used material donations should be in good condition – both functionally and visually.

Music Industry Companies/Retailers:
Potential items include, for example, discontinued models, B-stock (from returns, minor to medium defects, etc.), but also used items or even new goods.

What are material donations used for?
Material donations are used for training, therapy, or other purposes, among others. You can find more information on the Receive Support page.
